Paintscratch.com coats

I have a 92' Perl.

I ordered paint from paintscratch.com, and received the 3 12Oz aerosol cans, one base-coat one mid-coat, and one clear-coat.

Problem is, they did not label the cans as to which is which. I thought I'd ask here first rather than call them which is hard cause of the 3 hour difference and my work schedule.

Which is which?
One is a whitish color.. I'll assume this is the base-coat.
One, is a metallic transparent coat.. I'll assume this is the mid-coat.

Yea.. that seems very sound, but I want to be absolutely sure before I spray anything.

Re: Paintscratch.com coats

Just got the same myself- there should be both a sticker with what was mixed and a checkbox on the front of the can to ID the base coat and mid coat. You are correct though- the white is the base, the metallic is the midcoat, and the clear coat is the top coat.

Re: Paintscratch.com coats

Ask the company that you got them from.

Re: Paintscratch.com coats

That sounds right. do a sprayout first to see how many coats of base and mid coat you need to spray to match your existing paint.
