How to program door entry key.
On the 1995 SVX the door entry key was infar red and it did all the central locking, I have a new key how do I go about programing it? Can't seem to find it anywere.

1995 - SVX 700,000 K Mine, DMS Struts to lift car 2in. Tyres Wrangler Silent Armor 235/70R16, PBR Radiator. 6 speed with DCCD and R180 rer diff, Heavy duty top strut mounts front and rear. Speedo correction box fitted. New stero (gave up on the old one). Back seat removed and 2 spare tyres fitted for desert driving. ECUTune SC sitting in the box for the next SVX. 1992 - SVX 255 K Wife (Want to stay Married so not allowed to fit SC) 1992 - SVX Pearl with black roof race car roll cauge etc ready to race. Ex Tasman Targa car. 1995 - SVX Green low k mint condiation. 1995 - SVX Rally car, ex Matts car. Now to be used on track. 1992 - SVX red & Black being converted to Mid Engine. 1995 - SVX Red 143,000 bit rough. Owned 5 others Subaru back to a 1974 1400 GSR.

He is looking for the Infrared locking system, that came on the Australian and NZ cars and some others.
The infrared has a transmitter built into the ignition key and a receiver "port" in the driver's door handle. You have to hold the key about 6 inches away and aim it really carefully. You squeeze the key and it sends a signal to lock or unlock the doors. It was combined with the coded door release, which is great if you lock the keys inside, or want to get in when yours the keys. Simply enter your 4-digit n, using the door latch as a Morse key and you are in. I found these instructions in Harvey's locker.   .

Hi Guys I got that in my manual, but it doesn't tell you how to program the key only the door handle. Its the right key etc.
There must be some way to tell the reader to accept the new door key code. I didn't see it in the manual but then I don't read real well. Tony
