ABS problem
Hey guys, the ABS light is on since almost a year due to a broken front driver side ABS cable/sensor on my 94.
I bought a used cable/sensor in good shape (tested it and it have the correct ohm). I changed the cable, reset the ECU and the ABS computer is still giving me a code 5 (open circuit - front left brake). Of course, the ABS light is still on and the system is not working. Is there anything I have to check, reset of wathever? Thanks for your time! |

Re: ABS problem
There's nothing to reset. I wonder if it's the wires between where the sensor plugs in and the ABS computer under the passenger seat.

Re: ABS problem
That's the only thing that comes to my mind but it's kind of unusual...

Re: ABS problem
You allso have to test the white wire to the case of the sensor. This was the test that my car failed.
Also code 5 is Front left abs sensor problem, not necessarily open circuit, at lest according to the service manual I have.
