I think I might have to start on this project. The 4.6 doesnt seem that much bigger. I will prob have to swap the rear end to convert it to rear wheel drive. I think I would pick up a t-56 trans.

look online for the dimentions of the 4.6... Its HUGE compared to a SBF or SBC. Now I really like the later Ford Modular motors, but its much harder to shove into smaller cars.

The stock rear end can deal with decent HP as long as your not running huge tires or running the LSD hard. STi R180 diff is the easiest upgrade, but real longevity would be accomplished by adding a diff cooler setup.
