It looks like a stock MY04-07 STI shifter trim plate and shifter boot.

What you are feeling is the v7's 35/65 (IIRC) split front to rear. Its very rear biased for a Subaru gearbox.

I'll let you know about the HVAC plate. I have no problem having them cut a few provided I have the material.

Also, I need to do a write up on the wrap... I have many new ideas and suggestions for the process. 92SVX is coming down this weekend for me to do his. His will be WAY better than mine, I have no doubt.. and it will continue to improve the more I do.
My limited research on nasioc yielded that the non-dccd 6-speeds have the same 50-50 split viscous center diff as the wrx 5-speeds. I'm not very confident that that's true though. I'm not really looking to trade my 6-speed though, since I just got reverse fixed and the rest of the insides checked out to make sure it's solid. I've gotten used to the high revs on the highway anyway. Thanks for the offer though.

Yea, do let me know about the HVAC CF thing. I can send you some of my left over material; I've got plenty seeing as how I didn't wrap a whole desk lol.

JDM Impreza WRX STi & STi RA MY01-02
TY856WB1CA
1- 3.636
2- 2.375
3- 1.761
4- 1.346
5- 1.062
6- 0.842
rev- 3.545
Drive ratio 1.000
Final drive- 3.900
Center diff type- Viscous (4kgf)
Front diff type- A.P. Suretrac
Notes- RA STi w/ 17 in. wheel

Its not a dedicated 50/50 split. I spent a lot of time researching the trans when I lived in England. I got to hang out with some really knowledgeable guys including Richard Bulmer of Tracktive Solutions UK and my fav guys at the now defunct WRC Technologies. It was explained to me that typically the Viscous center diff in that trans relies on slippage (heat) to thicken the fluid to vary TQ split. This effectively makes the trans rear biased. The amount is one of much debate but its considered close to 35/65.
