Engine Diagnostic Tools
I am trying to determine the best set of Vacuum test and Compression test gauges...does anyone have a prefered set or recommend a particular brand? I've search online and have come across some as cheap as $20 and others as high as $350. I am just looking for something reliable and accurate. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Re: Engine Diagnostic Tools
I've used my Snap-On compression gauge set for 3 years, bought it cheap (broken face glass) and it has never let me down. always been accurate. and came with 3 different hoses.... 10mm 12mm and 14mm
even buying it cheap, it was 150

Re: Engine Diagnostic Tools
I have both the snap-on gauge and a cheap $20 one from harbor freight. I typically use the snap-on at work were I have to be accurate and the cheapo one at home were accuracy is not as key. The snap-on looks and feels better and even is slightly easier to use (better rubber that bends easier) but always gives me the same exact readings that my cheapo gauge does. If it's not going to make you money or your not going to use it very often I would recommend the cheapo gauge any day, had it for over 3 years and it still works fine.
