Airbag Light Stays On

My airbag light stays on while I'm driving the car. I dont mind the airbag not working; I'd actually prefer it that way. I tried removing the fuse but the light still stays on. Any relatively easy way to get the light to go out (removing the bulbs would work, but it looks like a pain to get to them)? Thanks.

Larry

Re: Airbag Light Stays On

I don't think so. There's actually a little circuit board that you remove. It is a pain to do. I did it to pass safety when I got my black one.
You could read the codes and find out what the problem is, that's easy.

Re: Airbag Light Stays On

There's a connector in the drivers side kick panel that loosens up. I believe it's yellow. Take the panel off and make sure the connector is tight.

Re: Airbag Light Stays On

Thanks, i did that. Light still stays on. Was hoping maybe someone could identify the wire that lights the airbag bulb, that I could cut, maybe a relay that I could unplug, something along those lines. I tried to get my hand behind the dash to access the bulb, but as its larger than that of a 3 year old, it doesn't fit

Re: Airbag Light Stays On

Check the connector under the airbag (again)? Even though it appears connected, they have a weird slide lock which has to be engaged.
