i had Nankang NS-1 225 45 17

and they were pretty badass.

they are cheap as **** (i paid 225 for all 4 brand new!!

)

the summer traction is very good, a clear point of traction loss and a quick recovery if it did break loose,

i even took em to the snow... and they rocked!

not nearly as good as snow tire but they were good tires!

Yokohama s-drive.

I'm getting them for my new 18" Murano wheels within the next few weeks for summer tires and they're amazing.

I'm a big fan of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. When I went to order them for my SVX, though, they were sold out. The tire place recommended Continental Conti Sport Contact 2. He said they're as good, and they were a little less expensive. I haven't driven my SVX since i've installed them, though, so I can't report.

I just ordered a set of 225/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01Rs to put on my summer wheels. The tires should be here any day now. Tirerack is blowing them out to make way for the new model (RE11 I think?) Normal price $188/each - I paid $104

Fantastic deal on top-rated summer tires.

UPS dropped me a set of the same (in 245/40/17) yesterday afternoon. They were $116 each or so.
