Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
Some models have it in the kick panel, some have it in the dash, some have both Harvey.
He said he had already looked in the kick panel and it wasn't there.... It would be a good idea to look under the dash. |

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
No US SVX has the check pins under the dash, they were all in the kick panel. All they do is ground the pin they are to be plugged into. If you have a hard time finding them, use some spare wire to create an alternate ground and push the other end into the respective socket to read the codes

As far as your car not idling when it's cold, The coolant sensor is the problem I think. I had the same problem on my 95, and replaced it and it starts right up. Senor is around $20.00 easy to replace as well.

Well, how do you exactly ground the wires Toms? I don't make more trouble for myself. Yes I do have a multimeter, what do you suggest I do with it? Here are some pic of the wiring setup here the link.

Heres the step by step with pics..... in PDF frmat. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/How-To/33055.pdf Its the biggest black connector, you ground it with either of the two blue-insulated wires that have the flat metal prongs, inserted into the top second-to-left hole (tab side up). This will make your "check engine" light flash the codes stored. |

Oops I mean the mid-size one , not the little square one. If you accidentally ground the wrong connector your oil dipstick pops out and your waterpump seizes

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
OMG!!!!! Why didn't you say that before. LoL, just kidding. The link worked out great. Thank for the input everyone. Code number 23 seemed to be the only code. Mass airflow sensor seeems to be the problem. The former owner did a crappy job in the wiring for the connector. Does anyone know where i can get the connector and pig tail from?
