Is that strut the NAPA or the SPD strut?

I test fit the NAPA strut at the position in the bracket you used and it was lower than I would like.

If the SPD struts are longer, than your approach alleviates this problem. Plus it makes them much easier to change in the future. I'll check out your installation at Reading. If I like the way your's looks and functions better than mine, a change will be definitely in order.


PS: Don't forget to bring the rear struts/ ball studs to Reading. your PIAA's are waiting...

and with a 90 lb strut that is 1 1/2 inch longer than the original Subaru one,, hood lift is like a factory job!
