Joe, interesting comment.

I still retain a 1971 FF1 Subaru which won many races for me, and I consider the best overall design of ordinary motor car I have come across. Inboard front brakes provide room for maximum drum size, minimum unsprung weight, extra dish in the wheels and the steering turning pivot over the contact patch as it should be. I can go on and on with other sensible design points, not carried forward for unknown reasons.
