Arrow Here you go guys, maybe

sounds like the issue I had when I removed the mystery splice in the wires running to my starter.

on the stock SVX there are two wires running out to the starter, snip the spliced wire that doesn't signal the starter and you'll have this issue.

"crank crank crank and stumble crank crank crank and stumble"
floor it and... "stumble crank stumble stumble fast reving and it purrs"
turn it off, try again and it starts up easy.

never questioned it, just spliced it back in.... hope this helps. BTW, the wires have the same color.... I think its black with a yellow stripe

Hmmm....you may be onto something, as I used the original XT6 starter wiring...which doesn't have that splice in it...maybe that supplys power to the AAC.....mmm..something else to check....

Could it be that the fuel pressure is bleeding off overnight? Try cycling the key on-off slowly a few times before trying to start it.
This seems to be working for me; I haven't been able to tinker around with anything yet, so I tried leaving the key on for 5-10 seconds prior to starting the vehicle. Starts like a champ, no throttle needed.

Any ideas? Is this simply what I have to do to have the fuel pressure come up to the proper level? Too weak of a battery (CCAmps, that is)?

I'm very curious as I would like to put in a remote start and I don't think I can tell it to leave the ignition "on" for 10 seconds prior to starting.

It could possibly be that the AACV is be faulty and is taking longer than normal to operate.

I suppose that is a possibility, but it worked fine in the SVX I pulled it out of...and has not worked right since I installed it into the XT6...so I'm still betting it's something I missed when wiring it up....
I just need to try to find out where it sorces it's signal to operate from...and schm. are not my strong suite...

I was looking over the SVX diagrams, and I think I found the issue...the AACV is powered from the fuel pump relay, and since I'm running using the XT6 fuel pump relay, I don't have the feed wire to the AACV hooked up
So now I'm betting that if I get power to the AACV it will start correctly...problem is, I'll probabl have to wire an independant "Cold Start" switch up just for that...but that's better than the "near impossiable to start in cold weather" condition it has now...
When I get around to checking into it, I'll post back...
