There's a bolt sticking out of my tire
Driving yesterday with the windows down I hear a click-click-click sound from the front right as I go down the road. When I get out of the car to check it there is a bolt sticking out of my tire, with the washer still on it, and a bunch of white dust or something around the area on the tire. Took it to pep boys since all the local shops were closed, and they tell me I have Z-rated tires? So they say they couldn't repair it because of that so they put the spare on. Now here I am at home looking at the "91H" rating on the tire wondering what they could possibly be thinking. Anyway taking it to Sears this afternoon. Is having the little tiny tire on the front going to mess something up? How many miles?

Considering that the rear is a LSD, it's better to have the spare in the front, but don't go too fast while on that spare.

...just a grey rubber thing sticking out now. Do I need to trim that or anything?

I wonder why Pep Boys didn't want to touch it. Possibly because they are slightly concerned that, if you take the tire to its rated speed, their plug won't hold. And if it doesn't, they don't want to be held responsible for the carnage that follows.

Well considering that they couldn't even tell the difference between the letters Z and H, it was probably a blessing in disguise that they didn't get to do the work.
