Where's the A/C pressure switch?

Somewhere in the A/C system there's a switch that senses pressure.

Anyone know where?

yes, I do, I do - do I win a prize?????

It's usually called the trinary switch.

Not sure for all years, but on my 92 it's on the right (passenger) side of the radiator/condensor. look for the line coming from the condensor and going to the receiver/drier - the switch is in that line with a 4 wire electric plug on top.

Thanks - now I can do some experimenting.

"Trinary" - that name implies a three-state switch.

mine was easy to figure out. I charged my a/c and a week later it didnt work. so i looked around for leaks, and my switch was pissing Another way to tell would be if you have a known good charge and your compressor doesnt come on. then you can jump the terminals/ or take an ohm reading at the switch. I dont know what wires to jump or what the ohm reading should be cuase im not one of those guys on the network that knows everything.
