I got my rear bearings fixed today!

Holy crap it sounds like a new car! I bought it with shot bearings, and had both rears done today. From you guys on this site, I instructed my guys to strip the packing grease from the bearings and use some good stuff, thanks for that. I hadn't heard the car smooth as silk before, but I can now. They took care of my sticky lifter too, so it's totally silent! I added a block heater to combat the Canadian Prairie Winters, too.

Next steps when money from my grandma's estate processes through the lawyers is Stebro exhaust, the wheels in my other recent thread, raceconcepts.net brakes kit, and Stage 2v5 w/ Z32 MAF.

I love my car all over again!

ATF +4 in the oil for 100 miles then an oil change.

Who did this, a Subaru dealer or an independant service tech?

What exactly is "ATF +4", who makes it?

How much was used? One quart? Drain & fill like a normal oil change?

What type of driving conditions? Easy highway? In town stop and go?

I really want to fix my sticky lifter for less than my local dealer quote of "about $1,000 dollars"!

Thanks in Advance,
Dan

PM sent, intelisevil.

"ATF+4® , a synthetic-based ATF only available through DaimlerChrysler." My guy at the local chrysler dealership threw in just under a quart of ATF+4 in my oil, had me drive a few hundred miles with it in. The lifter unstuck at about 100 miles, then I brought her in for a standard oil change.
