O2 sensors
OK, dumb question, but staying on the safe side so I don't have to go crawling under this thing again.... At least until next weekend.
Are both O2 Sensors the same? IE-> Interchangeable? And do most of you guys stick with OEM, or go a different route?

[Aside from the generic one being generally maybe 20% cheaper] The OEM one will simply plug straight into the connector close to it on the loom, when you have it screwed into place. With the generic type, you have to be sure you have the same number of wires, three from memory, and you have to splice them to the loom, as it will have no plug, or the wrong plug. Phil in the UK did his with the generic ones, and used a handy trick. Having spliced the wires, he wound the sensor and wires backwards a certain number of turns. This meant that while he was screwing it into the socket, the wires were un-winding, and did not tighten up too much. For my money, you would be better off paying the price of the OEM ones, and plugging in. Joe

Phil They Are Both The Same Stick Around With The Oem. That Why It You Don't Have To Mess With The Connectors..... Like The Stuff You Have Now In The Knew Car!!!!!. By The Way The Only Dumb Question Is The One That Is Never Question!!!!!!

Sensors
The stock OEM sensors are not the only ones with the correct connector. You have four options (the four below are available from www.oxygensensors.com with free shipping over $50).
OEM (Denso) - Plug and play. Around $96 ea. ($130 each at the dealer) Aftermarket (Bosch) - Plug and play. Around the same as the Densos. Aftermarket (Walker) - Plug and play. Around $69 ea. Aftermarket (Walker) - universal where you have to slice in the connector. The Walker seem to be the same quality as the Densos (Japan) and the Boschs (Germany), but being made in the US, they're a bit cheaper - no exchange rate to deal with. I have the Walker plug and plays and couldn'e be more pleased. With the money I saved, I bought the O2 sensor socket set. |

Are You Having Problems With Them??? They Usually Last At Least 60k Miles And Your Are Not That All, And Both Of Them Look Like Have Been Replace...

I'm ripping the exhaust out of the '94 and putting it in there. Since the '94 is a Vegas car, it's coming out pretty easily. I'm not looking forward to getting out the one in the MN car. looks like I'l be needing some new exhaust components soon enough..I hear a slight leak..somwhere towards the middle..I wont be going to the stealership..after that price quote..I'll source one of our exhaust shops here in town for some custom work..wont even come close to that price range..jeez

let me know if you need any help.... but if you are swaping some of the exhast don't mess to mutch with the O2 SENSORS THEY ARE VERY SENSITIVE..... LET ME NOW WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU DOING.... I WOULD HATE FOR YOU TO WASTE MONEY..... SPECIALLY AFTER SPENDING 1K.....

careful too, even an exhaust leak in the system can
cause the 02s to throw a code. Btw, our Bosch 02s we sell use OE plugs
