Error Codes
I failed emissions inspection last week. I pulled the error codes and
got 33 - Vehicle Speed Sensor 2, 37 - LH O2 sensor, and 51 - Neutral position signal. I changed both O2 sensors and the VSS 2. Now I have codes 33 - VSS2, 51 and 52 - Park Position Signal I believe that I will now pass inspection as I believe that the only code that really affects emissions would have been the O2 sensor. However, I would like to "fix" the others (at low cost). Clearly the VSS2 code doesn't seem to have been the sensor so it must be somewhere else. I know the shop manual has a step by step methodology, but some of the steps appear rather difficult to do. Has anyone out there run into this and can you point me in the right (or reasonable) direction? |

Reset your ECU and see if any codes come back. It seems as though your shifter cable needs to be adjusted.
