Another SVX Inspired side window design

If you look closely to the passenger side window, you'll see a near perfect SVX window within a window treatment; all for a cool quarter mil.

it looks like a Lexus SC430 that collided with an ugly tree.

Oh yeah, I saw that car featured in my most recent Autoweek. Looks interesting and power should be around 400hp+. I think they go on sale in the Spring of '05. Not the prettiest cars, but I do like the windows...

Here's a road test of it:

http://www.topgear.com/jsp/individua...Number=01.html

The original 1903 Spyker was the first 4WD car and the first 6 cylinder car - which makes it the spiritual ancestor of our SVX. I saw it break down at Goodwood last year.

What was the first production car to have windows like that, was it the Countach? And on that note, does anyone know the proper pronunciation for "Countach"? I know in Italian the word should be pronounced koon-tawk but is the word Italian?

It's officially pronounced Coon-tauk, it is Italian, the "ch" being a hard sound, instead of the soft "sh" like us Americans say it. The word itself is just an italian dialect word meaning something like WOW! (which makes sense if you've ever seen the prototype) and doesn't have a literal translation....Just my $0.2

I've seen a few in real life, and I did exclaim 'wow', but that was only the first part. It actually went "WOW! Look at the panel gap and horrible build quality of such an expensive car!"

Hmmm...I'm not too sure about the pronunciation, but I believe the word itself is spanish, and is the name of a famous fighting bull. I know for a fact this is where Lamborghini got the names for the Jalpa, Diablo, Murcielago, and Gallardo. I'll have to check the artcile when I get home to see if it says exactly when they started using the bull names.
