parting is such sweet sorrow

Yesterday , I said goodbye to my beloved Excaliber.

I was parting him out for a long time, for those of you who did not know , but before that, we were qiute inseperable.

That car was my trademark, and my pride.
It meant everything to me.

I'll be upset about it for a long time to come., he will be missed.

at least i know he went to a good home.

I sold him to Benebob. (who has an awesome 95 i might add)among other cars

I wanted to use this post as well to say thanks to all of you who have purchased parts , and offered kind words of wisdom.

Thanks

The hope is excaliber will be transformed into an all out Prepared SVX for autoxing. Granted this may take the rest of my life but hopefully not.

For those who are still waiting for parts from Excaliber, she's a stand up gal and I'm quite certain those parts will be arriving in the near future.

Well lets see:
Orange Peel better than GM did in the late 80s
New tranny at 500 miles
Horrible fit and finish for exterior panels
Has been to the dealer now for 8 different warranty issues in all.

You tell me which is the POS?

Each state is dif. PA is if it is in for 3x for the same issue or for over 1 month for one issue then you have a shot at a lemon law buyback but that'll cost ya a good $2k in legal fees. Oh yeah, fit and finish aren't included in that which is the major reason why I think it is a POS. When GM can build a better car in that respect then Subaru can you have to look at where it was made.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
