At my house we have both. We have 4 macs 2 power books g4's a g4 cube and an ibook for mom. I have to say I love them I have grown up with them, I would like to have some kind of job having to do with networking someday, so I run free BSD on the pc. Although I have virtual PC on both of my macs. I really Like the macs after OSX the new panter is cool. I like the BSD unix subsystem very much. I find myself using the terminal to use unix commands almost more than I use the actual mac os. I just thought I would put in my 2 cents.

Yeah i don't know where they came up with those prices. That's one of the Cheapest Mac's i've ever heard of and one ridiculously overpriced PC. When i worked at Circuit City, we had the G4 IMac's...but you can't really compare them to a PC tower system cause they don't have all the features...the G4 tower systems were $2500 with basic printer and 17" monitor. The top-of-the-line Sony PC with a 19" monitor, and HP Photo Printer went for $1900. I'd say that's one hell of a difference and worth alot more than 1 measly point. HAHAHA.

I know I can get XP home for 120 or so. I can also get OS10.2 for about the same price.

Mac -- as in Macintosh is a type of Apple thus, apple macintosh..
