Legacy wheel bearings...do they or not???
Trying to research old threads to find out the best wheel bearings to get for the rear of my SVX and have found only theories. The 2003 Forest theory was disproven as not an option but all over the place I read 'I hear that the old Legacy bearings are an exact fit for the SVX and are a tapered design that will hold up better' but nowhere did I find confirmation that they do indeed fit. Has anyone here actually done it and can they say for sure that they fit? What year Legacy can be referred to when shopping for these mythological bearings? I would much rather go with tapered bearings instead of the standard rollers that the SVX use. If tapered are used, is the torque on them the same as used for the standard SVX specs? If not what should they be torqued to?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
