hello out there.
Deadsville....... I went wheeling today it was fun. Found a nice walking path in the state forest, required running down a few trees and makeing new trails. Got about 1/2 mile in and decided to turn around,as my clutch is already on it's way out and I was alone. Gota get the new drivetrain in it soon so I can really wheel the crap out of it.
So....anything else going on out there?

heehee.. my brother and i had my rx out on our dirt track again i need to fix up the exhaust because the turbo isn't juicing up quick enough.. subafreak, maybe you could give me an idea what i need to do.. here's the scenario:
the exhaust manifold on the underside of my EA82 turbo engine is leaking. the studs coming out of the engine where the leak is have already been retapped and replaced a couple times, and i've been told that replacing them is no longer an option. is it possible to get some kind of epoxy or something and just sort of "glue over" the leak? -adam |

Usually by the time any of mine had done that it was time for new heads due to cracks anyway. You could try to drill out the flanges to use a bigger bolt/stud, I think there should be enough material in the head for bigger holes. The other problem I'v had with the up pipes is having them crack around the area of the second flang under the heatshields. That was another problem with the EA82 turbos, keeping the exaust from leaking.

I have yet to be impressed will any of thoes epoxy things, altho some people sware by that JB Weld stuff. Hmmm, we did just get a spool gun but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put some welds in the holes wile it's still on the motor.
