ECUtune Stage One reviews

Hello all,

I was hoping we could get some reviews from some of our customers to use in a featured ad on ebay. Wouldn't hurt to have them highlighted here either. Both our website and our ebay auctions link to these forums. So if you would, please go ahead and tell us what you think. I'll pm anyone I decide to quote before taking the liberty to do so.

Thanks.

Currently on my second SVX in 5 years. I installed the stage one into my car in about 10 minutes. Since I have a 5spd, as promised the fuel cut is now higher, isntantly showing me this chip is for real, but the low end pull is what really impresses me. And the best part is advance is learned into the ecu after a few days it just feels like its getting faster and faster! Recommend this 10x over. For the SVX which dosnt have any aftermarket at all, this chip is by far the best price for performance out there for us. Cant wait to see stage III.

I run a pretty stock SVX. I've had the stage 1 chip in about 2 weeks and have really noticed the low end performance boost. It seems to be getting better every time I use the car. The chip is a great cost/performance value. Highly recommended.

Stage 1 chip still in the box, waiting for "other" repairs to be completed....the box does seem to move around by itself, probably due to the performance wanting to get out of the chip (that, or my wife keeps cleaning up the room I've got it stored in )

I have the stage one chip in 2 different svx's.
One is a completely stock '92 other than the chip, the other '92 has a custom flowmaster exhaust system and minor intake modifications.
On both svx's the chip has eliminated any low end lag which greatly improves the driveability of the cars. There is no more playing with the throttle trying to get a good launch, the svx just roars out like it should. Low end and midrange is much stronger. The chip made me much more confident in the abilities of both cars.
I'd recommend this upgrade to anyone with an svx - if you don't have it you are missing out.
I can't wait for stage II.

Best $179.99 I've spent on my car. More bang for the buck then my $850.00 stebro cat back exhaust.

Quick question to all the people with Stage 1: How's your gas mileage doing? I probably want to get it, but not if the MPG goes under 15 or something insane.

Like everyone else, I have nothing but good words about the Stage 1 chip. Additionally, my gas mileage improved by a steady 3-4mpg since installing it.

I like the idea of improved gas mileage and power. I just bought one and I keep a close eye on my MPG. I will report back after I get it.

Actually very easy. The hardest part is taking out the ECU and putting it back in. The instructions that come with it are very thorough and explains the process very well. But basically all you do is plug it in and depending on the year and ECU you have to take out a ROM or cut a resistor. Then plug the chip in. Drill a hole in the side for one wire to come out. Then you have to find a ACC power wire (I used the Radio power wire) and then add those 2 wires to a switch somewhere in the car. Not bad at all.

cant hurt to add more

Mike excellent job on such a great product..
I have Stage I in one bone stock car with only
a high flow Green drop in filter......DYNAMITE !

Stage II in my more modded Pewter car
The great things about the Stage II kit is its both
Stages in one!
So even while you are driving around not spraying
you still get the benefits of Stage I

When you finally get around to buying the NOS kit
and installing it, hook up the one red wire to
the kit and youre ready to safely use Stage II

By itself its the best mod you can buy for the $
With any small mod like an air fitler or pulley
it makes for more outstanding results for those on
a budget.

I havent really watched my mpg much, but I know
it hasnt lessened. Ill have to keep an eye on it for
a few more fill ups.

I have had the stage I in the SVX for about a week now. Impressive pick up off of the line. I am very pleased. Well worth the price.

It sounds like a great unit. I was just wondering if anyone had done a 0-60 comparison against a basically stock SVX? It sounds like it would help lower the time a bit. In stock form the SVX is not really an off the line car. But get her moving and she will fly! Dave.
