Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement
Hi, I like most SVX owners are about to replace those darn rear wheel bearings with the help of a very capable (non subaru) mechanic. Whilst we have all the tools of the trade, we do not have the torque settings for re-assembly. We have read all about the pros and cons of removal and installation using sledgehammers or the correct tools but nowhere mentioned re-torquing of the assembly.
Can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction for the low down on the job and those elusive technical bits..... Many thanks!!! Paul. |

I just whack mine with the air impact wrench, but for my customers I'll torque them down. I don't have any problems either way.
Axle nut, 123-152 lbs./ft. Wheel lug nuts, 65 lbs./ft.
