07 BBS 17 x 8 STI gold rims, what tires should I get?
My son and I just picked up 4 very nice ones and I am looking for a good all season tire to put on them that will fit on the SVX.
On the way back from buying them in NH, one of our pulleys froze and we broke the fan belt. Luckily we were about a mile away from Ed Reilly Subaru in Concord NH. I brought the car in and they could not have been nicer. They didn’t have a pulley but they by passed the AC and got a belt on so I could drive 110 miles home. Very nice folks on a holiday afternoon without an appointment.

225/45/17 Goodyear Eagle GT did very well on my 3.1k mile trip

No actual experience with 17"s on my SVX, we do have an STI and have gone through two sets of tires on that.
I love, love, love the OEM Bridgestone RE070s, but don't drive in the snow with them. Grip was great, wear was pretty good, but the price sucks! Falken Azenis RT-615 (NOT the Kaizen or "K" spec), good grip nearly as nice as 070s, so-so wear. I'm interested in the Ks to see the difference in compounds. I just mounted a set of Dunlop Sport SP 5000 M, or something, and have almost no miles on them yet, but they seem OK so far. Should note that we cover all driving styles in this car; autocross, daily commute, road trips, etc.

I just put Yokohama Advan S4's on my sti wheels and so far I like them.
They seem to handle quite well in the rain. Haven't tried snow yet.

I'm running a set of 225/45/17 Kumho Ecsta SPT's on my BBS' and so far they have been great.
