Picking up SVX, may need phone #'s in case of breakdown

Alright, I know this is a lot to ask of anyone, but I will be flying down to Florida to pick up an SVX that I will be driving back up to Wisconsin near the end of September. This car has been driven on long trips by the current owner, but I would just like to have options for the "just in case" since it is an 18 year old car. I will basically be driving up I65 all the way from Pensacola, FL to Chicago and then I94 into Wisconsin. If anyone along I65 would be willing to help out if I were to happen to break down or something happen, I would greatly appreciate it. The other thing is that I would gladly stop and visit and talk or get a meal if anyone were available for that as well.

I will probably be flying down to Pensacola, FL on Sept 28th arriving there sometime around noon. I then have to replace a front knuckle to solve the issue of a bad wheel bearing. Then spending the night before leaving for Wisconsin sometime in the early morning of Wednesday, the 29th. So basically, I'm just asking that if anyone would be available if I were to get stranded with something major and either be able to give me a hand, or a tow, or anything especially since I'm flying, I can't take any tools or anything that I normally would have/bring for something like this.

I guess that's all for now, I'll update with info, definite schedule as it comes closer. Again, I'd appreciate any help very much since it's a bit of a "security".

And here is the route that I will be taking to clarify for anyone.

You can take some tools in your checked luggage...
I am Washington state so can't offer assistance for your trip back.

I did notice that. Problem is, it's another $25 for a checked bag. I can take tools up to 7" in length in my carry-on though. I may end up shipping a ratchet, and 10,12,14 and 17 sockets and same size wrenches when I ship the knuckle a week ahead of time or otherwise grab a cheap tool set from Wal mart in Pcola before leaving.

And come on Keith, it's only a short 2000 miles from you

Even though I don't own one, I would gladly help if you were going to be driving through Tampa. I know this was a useless post, but I still want to wish another enthusiast the best. I've never driven on I65, so I can't give you any tips there. I had a 1600 mile drive with my GTO when I bought it sight unseen and flew to California to get it. All I can say is enjoy the drive and get to know your new girl.

If it works out that you plan to take any tool in your carry-on I would double check on that as well. The TSA folks are government and any government person will give a different answer on any subject than any other government person.
Notice I didn't say "government worker" That was intentional.
If you are a government person (worker), please disregard that last two sentences.

thanks Earl, and as I said to the others in PM's, thanks for the willingness to help if needbe.

The route as of now is this

It allows a stop in Somerset, KY to get a meal with Huck. For anyone not wanting to shoot to the link, its I65 from Pensacola, picking up I59 in Birmingham, and then US27 in Chattanooga to get to Somerset and then picking I65 back up west of Lexington, KY.
