Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

I recently got an ebony 1992 ls-l with a blown transmission. It doesn't start on it's own and once it does start, none of the electrical stuff seems to work. Other than that it is pretty much complete, it also came with a bra. Let me know if you are interested in anything.

Sounds like it could just be a blown fusible link

Oh god this makes me sick... I wish I could swap you engine and tranny... my parts car starts and runs fine and has a good transmission... it's also an ebony 92... the body is just beat to hell. Too bad you're thousands of miles away. I shall find one someday!

Where in Minnesota? (I am in Iowa...)

How much for the driver's seat, if it is not torn... Or the rear seat back?

A good driver's side sunvisor that doesn't fall down?

Re: Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

The driver's seat is not torn, it is a little worn though. I will try to get some pictures up, hopefully I can get out to where I'm keeping it right now before I leave for the weekend. The car is in Fargo, ND right now and will likely be moving to Perham, MN by this weekend. The driver's side visor only droops a little bit, I guess I could snap some pictures of that too. The rear back seat is in pretty good shape as far as I could tell.

I have the H6 cover... The windshield has a few flaws, no cracks though.

Re: Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

Oh, man...

My parents vacation near Perham or Pelican Rapids, that general area... every year. I forget where, they find a new resort every two years or so.

How worn is worn? Worn is better than torn, though. The driver's seat in my car is sunburned, and all the threads in the side of the seat back, and the seat base, are deteriorated, or gone, and the seams are wide open to the foam.

The rear seat back, under the rear glass is starting to show the same thing.

My parents are going up there in a couple weeks, or so, I think. I might have to arrange a day or two to go up and see them on their vacation.

Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

Sorry for not having the pictures yet, I feel like one of those slackers people on forums get angry at. I just haven't been able to make it out to where I am keeping the car. Hopefully I can get them up soon.

I'm looking for a TCU. Let me know price and when you think you could have it off to ship.

Re: Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

I have both the light and the TCU, although I may need a quick lesson on removing the TCU

Still have the doors...what kind of condition? I'm in Fargo ND Don't need the glass, I'm just looking for some doors without a bunch of rust to paint.

Re: Acquired Parts Car. Anyone need anything?

noticed you have posted about the door glass twice...

unless it is a different color, wouldn't it be easier to keep the glass in the doors, and then pull, and re-sell the glass from your rusted doors?

A change from bronze tint to blue tint, I can see why... but otherwise, I would think that keeping glass seals intact would be a better bet.
