Flowmaster exhaust

Well, I took some pics of my new muffler tips. I wish I had a way to record decent sound because it really sounds great.

I still have to get rid of the old cats and resonator. So here some pics.

Cell phone quality... I know, but right now its the only thing I have

That looks pretty cool!

And what cell phone is that? That's probably the best cell phone photography I've seen.

Ya I like the sound of the flowmasters too. I still have a Flowmaster Cat back sitting in delaware that I need to get rid of. I'm running dual 2.25in pipes back to a dual-in, dual-out 60series flowmaster.

Do you guys think our cars can sound like this if we dual straight from the pre cats and dual straight pipes all the way back? Or maybe add two resonators in between? I figure ask being that we have similar styled engines as the porsches (boxer 6).

That first one didn't sound too bad. But the other two and some of the other videos I saw... I'm sorry, but they make those nice Porsches sound like diesel trucks. Personally I'm not big on diesel trucks...

I wanna be able to sound like this guy:

All I can say is .... NICE TIPS!!!

I am definitely going with the round look after seeing yours. Awesome!
Think I might do a clamp setup so I can interchange the flowmasters with the stock muffler.
And still have the stock look if I feel nostalgic.

The Porsche sounded nice. My car has 2" pipes off the manifold, then dumping into a 2 1/2" pipe straight back to a 80 series Flowmaster. The car sounds freakin nasty when I'm racing. When I'm running around town though it resonates soooo bad (right @ 2000rpm).

that would be because you have nothing for the exhaust to expand into prior to reaching the Flowmaster. A site search on "resonance" will provide you with a wealth of information.

A 'cherry bomb' at the stock resonator position has worked well in the past.
It's a cheap fix but it stops the resonance, and still allows the deep sound.
