There are so few cars out today that have that effect!!

I grew up in the 60's and 70's, and the sound of a 'performance car', is sorely missed!!!

I remember when a 'four banger' was a four barrel carburetor, not a four cylinder engine . . . anyone else . . . or maybe it was just local slang?

Here's his mod list:
- 17" oem bullitt rims w/ bf goodrich tires
- stock 16" rims w/ new snow tires
- magnaflow magnapak catback exhaust (sounds awesome)
- 15% window tint
- tinted taillights
- smoked headlights
- mach 1 grille delete
- new intake manifold w/ aluminum crossover.

Not too much in the go-fast department, but that's why I'm buying it.. I like to mod cars my way and know the job gets done right.

The aftermarket tail light covers are illegal and the 80's rustangs were 4.9L, regardless of what ford plastered all over the car. Just like the 3.8L "4.0L" exploader motor.

Otherwise have fun with her.

I hate ford with a passion that goes back to my childhood. My father used to say if I ever bought a ford, find somewhere else to park it. My personal experiences are with the pos Crown Vics I was forced to drive before getting promoted. Now I use a Durango.

As for rustangs, they may go quick, but they are ugly and old tech. The GT is intresting, but is no Carerra GT or even a 997TT that kills the ford for only $122k and is AWD.

As for the motor size issue I have, why lie? Are they that insecure?

And when I watch Speed Channel coverage at Lime Rock and Mazda at Laguna Seca, it's the 911 GT2 whomping all over the new gen rustang GT as well as the RX-8 and BMW M3.

Sorry, the GT3 races in SCCA. The GT2 was run at LeMan. No rustangs there either...

I've never owned a Ford in my life. I rented a Mustang for a month when the SVX was totaled. The power was OK, and the handling was below average from what I was used to. The steering wheel felt awkward, and I never got used to the feel of it. The worst thing about it was the interior looked like a cheap plastic toy. It even felt fake to the touch.

Disclaimer: This was of course a cheap edition rental. The sheet in the Glovebox had the Mustang at $26k for that particular model.... Which I would never pay for it.
