Yeah, I don't get it. ours is missing quite a bit more (right down to 2 quarts of oil) and we're still weighing in at 2850 or so wet. That was even without a rear dif, driveshaft or rear axles. It did have a stock drivers seat though but now that's gone, replaced with a 4 pound seat and 10lbs of harnesses.

There is only so much weight you can unbolt from the car.
What did the home schooler tip the scales at??

Claims 2700 but I don't see it, if we're running fwd we should easily be the same if not lower even with them scraping the underside. I'm just thinking it must be the scales used. We've been using truck scales as it isnt a huge deal to us plus we always weigh wet (which is what 8lbs per gallon of gas)

Ok, now I will fully strip the car before our race so it is a contender with yours..... Then we will see who is boss

Not really..... I don't believe in stripping the car for weight savings. infact I ran a 15.05 with my trunk fully loaded of all of my tools, spare tire and crate of random fluids.(all of this is for emergency reasons if I or anyone else breaks down) I will be running light without those things in it but I will not take anything out besides the spare to save weight........

and I will still beat ya

Sigh... I love the trash talking

After seeing your car at the strip in person, I know you can do 14.7. Maybe even a 14.5 if temps are in the 50* range...

Jessie's n/a 6spd vs Tom's n/a 5spd...my money is on the winner!

It's going to be a great match up guys!

I might be able to make it and do a run or two

Won't be very competitive with the 100 or so extra pounds of junk in the trunk, but should be fun. If I come I'll also be able to bring some parking lot fun. It's 23" tall, and goes 40mph
