Programming the Remote

How do I program the keyless entry remote from another svx(94) to my svx(93)?? It was up in the how to documents but it must have been recently taken down. SVX-IW doesn't have the info on this either. If anyone has the instructions I'd be very thankful. Also, do you recommend sanding hubcaps before repainting them? Should I use a magic marker on the subaru letters? I know it's a lot of questions, but I'm hoping a veteran is roaming this forum right now because I gotta go and don't have the internet at my house! Thanks SVXERS

Im no veteran but a newbie myself. i copied this from somewhere here:

Reprogramming the Subaru SVX remote controls
Use this procedure to program or reprogram one or more remote controls.
Programming is performed by putting the SVX security system into program mode, then pressing the button on the remote(s), then taking the security system out of program mode.
To enter the programming mode:
• Start the car.
• Turn the security system OFF if it is on (security switch light OFF).
• Turn the key off.
• Turn the key on, but don’t start the car.
• Turn the key off.
• Rapidly push the security switch on and off until the horn begins honking. In program mode, the parking lights will flash, and you will hear a clicking noise from the security system behind the glove box. (Possibly, newer models won’t have sound this because the security system was relocated to the trunk.)
To program the remotes to the system:
• To program one remote, press the remote button 4 times.
• To program 2 remotes press the remote button 2 times on each remote.
• To program 3 remotes, press the remote button 1 time on 2 of the remotes, and 2 times on the 3rd.
• To program 4 remotes, press the remote button 1 time on each remote.
Note: The parking lights will turn on when a button is pushed and turn off when a button is released.
To exit programming mode:
• Turn the key on.
• Turn the key off.
The parking lights will stop flashing and the security system is ready for use.
