I wouldn't say cheap...the stock plugs are platinum...about $70 for a set...but good for 100,000 miles, so if your's haven't been done...they're do...

i don't know the history personally i think 70 dollars is worth the peace of mind that way i can start some kind of maintence plan. i really just need to find out if the motor is ok before i dump money into it.

Unless it been really abused, at only 100k it should be in good shape...these motors are typical Subaru, will pretty much run forever, if maintained properly....

I say you just bring it down for the meet on the 28th, and we'll all take a look and listen to it, and try to determin what it does and doesn't need, then we can schedule another weekend to work on it, onece you get whatever parts we decide you need to get...sound like a plan?

Patrick, I look forward to meeting you there. I've got to do some cosmetic work on mine (mine has developed "clearcoat leprosy") before I drive in, so, don't feel too bad about how your car looks. It's just neat to have a bunch in a row. One comment I remember during "My Classic Car Autofest 2001" was, "I didn't think there were enough of those to get four of 'em together." We had my pearl, Steve Wasion's (waisons) Teal, Nick Owens' (MrPockets) Red '93 (yes, I know it's redundant), and Bill Moore's (svxter) Polo. A good time was had by all!

don't worry about how it looks, as there are always some REALLY crappy cars show up for the cruise....your's will look like a new one compared to some there....like Randy said, just having a few of them together will be a site in it's self...
