Question Door Trim/Seals/etc...

OK, not sure if this is the right forums for this, so forgive me.

I am getting a bit more wind noise in the car and its due mostly to the fact that my door seals are worn to sh... well, they are worn!!

Any ideas on cost and level of difficulty in replacing these? If possible I would gladly do the work myself...

Chris,
Poke around here to get an idea of cost.

http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...ear=1992&scn=9

You may be able to get similar pricing at Liberty Subaru (do a search for the number, I don't think they have an online store), and it would be closer to you (less shipping time).

As for difficulty, I'll try to check my manuals tonight and get an idea for you.

Much to the Randy! Thanks, I will be looking forward to your response.

After looking at the pages a bit, I am amazed that rubber could be so expensive... I know its "more than just rubber" so dont tell me that...

The thing about rubber is, if it doesn't do what it's suposed to do, it can get VERY expensive.

Level of difficulty, .05.

Looks like the most difficult part of the job will be removing the "Checker Pin" from the door. After that's done, pull off the old, put on the new, and reinstall checker pin. Should be a breeze.

So, the checker pin would be the pin in the door that attaches to the little arm with the "door is open so far detents"?

Yep. That pin should just tap out.
