"l33t" speak originated mainly from olden days AOL, where people who created "punters" and "scrollers" would think they had obtained some sort of bad-ass hacker status, but in reality were a bunch of obnoxious kids in chatrooms.
A real hacker would.... A) Never tell you he was into any sort of security hobby. B) Never speak in anything but a standard language. C) Never use AOL in the first place because it was obnoxious, and not supported on *NIX platforms. So therefore, everytime I see some sp33k 1n l33t I just have to chuckle because they look so moronic instead of gaining respect they're losing any amount I could have had for them. Continue on with the games!! *raises chalice* (Sorry went to King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA.... I love medieval faires) -Sz

nikfu = burned
nothing like gettin shot in the back... anyways i havent been able to get onlie the past while. heres my follow up: the suv: not a saab. weasels: people who take slow cars to the strip the strip: a circle of one way roads in a section of town used on late friday nights for people to mobb around. half the police force watches over it. chicane: get over it. you guys are totally out of line on making light of the way i talk. though its your right and you can do what the hell you want, putting me in the same category as stupid fools that put 3s where Es should be kinda pisses me off. im not some day to day light runner that talks **** all the time. i just do what i do. the whole point of the post was to help me identify the thing but if you wanna take it to other levels thats fine. just be a little respectful. i dont expect everyone to know my whole story on 14s or to keep up with all my posts but heres the scoop: i only claim to run that fast in fwd, with everything in working order. before i changed my water pump i was able to peel off in fwd. since i lacked the knowledge and equipment to retime the vehicle when installing the t-belt it is a few teeth off. the throttle body has two openings. we all know this. only my left one opens. the only reason my car doesnt drop off and die is because of a timing advancement chip i installed. actually on very rare occasions my right valve actually opens. i can tell by the tone of the "growl" above 3k rpm. this erratic behavior makes it very difficult to diagnose and fix. as for the timing im just lazy. and as for the dangers of fwd, im fully aware. as for the dangers of high speed driving, i consider myself skilled enough, and reasonable enough to know when to and when not to do it, and how to handle most situations. as for ileet speak i cant read that ****. werd.

Wow! That's so amazing! You have the ONLY SVX in the 14s without nitrous or anything, and not even any bolt ons! And add that into the fact that your car seems like its in dire need of repair (tb not working, timing off, etc) and thethat it's owned by someone way up in some state where they apparently don't teach English! Who'd have thought?!?!?! - Rob |

Nikfu, there are some things from your post I don't understand. First of all is the timing belt issue:

Second is the throttle body: Quote:
Short version: I find it very hard to understand why only one side of the throttle body would open. If you could better explain this to us, it might help clear up the confusion. Third: Quote:
Lasty, is this the SUV you saw? I just now remembered the brand. http://www.laforza.com/ I can't imagine why anybody would buy one. They claim 'Italian luxury,' but the most advanced convenience feature is power locks and windows. Their site is covered in lies. Who buys these things???

I thought Laforza too, only I don't recall it having a lion's head emblem. And as far as speed goes, this thing only has a stock Ford Exploder engine, so I don't think it's as fast as Nik is claiming. If this is indeed the mystery SUV, then at least he's got the "ugly as hell" part correct.
Oh well, at least they're goin bankrupt, so we don't have to worry about any more of these abominations on the road.

I'm pretty sure we've discussed this hunk of crap before, but look at those photos of the Laforza (complete with Ferrari badge...nice ) and the Benz. There is simply no way that they're telling the truth. If there was something truly different about the construction of the LaForza, they'd be bragging about it left and right. That, and the car would be a great deal heavier. Notice on the site's forums that the company filed for bankruptcy protection in September. Good riddance.

basically the way i write reflects how i feel at the time. i write "well" when im serious and "sloppy" when i am anxious or excited. in either case i speak as such so its not a show.
hears the deal with the belt. me and edgo were working on this. i cant remember why but it was extremely difficult to keep the cams aligned AND put the belt on. im sure if there were two of me i could do it but since edgo is a dumbass sometimes ill just say its his fault. i think maybe the cable or something for the right valve is broke. the one connected to the little black thing near the firewall. is that the choke? i didnt whine cuz i cared about what was said. i was just stressed over many other things. say what you want about me as long as you dont mean it like one hyperactive person i dont know. as for the suv it was white, tall, sleak, and not at all ugly. i know i said it was ugly before but now that i think of it, it reminds me of the porche.

Did you have the timing belt tensioner locked in its 'retracted' position? If you just had the tensioner extended, I can certainly understand it being difficult to wrestle into place.
Whatever the case, I can't imagine putting the car back together, knowing that the timing belt wasn't installed properly. As for the SUV, if it reminded you of a Porsche, then maybe it was Porsche. http://www2.us.porsche.com/english/u...v6/default.htm And you didn't address the throttle body question.

the tensioner was retracted. just it was difficult for some reason.
if it didnt run at all i would have tried harder to fix it. the suv was a v8. dude i dunno what to tell you about the throttle body. if you open the hood and hit the gas, only one cable moves. the right one, standing from the front.

That's the only cable that's supposed to move, man! The other one's for cruise! Your throttle body is fine.
