At the 2nd Annual Shootout the one guy (with an RX) asked about increasing his pipe to the easy street guys 450hp or something pathetic like that from a WRX and was told not to that it would actually hurt the hp. I was quite irritated by the WRX people by that point so didn't pay much attention to why.

I think the idea is that the pipe is suppost to get smaller to increase the speed of the exaust into the turbo for better spool up, wile this idea does make sence it would seem like you would still want the pipe to match where it goes into the turbo. A nice eaqual length header pipe that acctually matched the ports on the heads came together and then reduced size up to match the turbo inlet would be great for an RX but it would be a bit of work. I was working on doing it but decided to just increase the up pipe size to keep the heat flowing past the right side head better. Did it hurt HP.? I don't know but it will still burn tire up into 4th gear.

You cant add a blow off valve to some turbos because the computer reads the unused air and reuses it and if its blown off into the air it throws off the computer. You have to use a bypass valve, thats what I was told about my 2.3 turbo in my XR4TI

Naaa, Ya don't need to waste your time with that car mike... Just sell it to me... I'll take care of it and make sure that it is taken care of... Then I can sell it back to ya when I go to Australia... That would be good for you too, cause you are in school at the moment and don't need another car to worry about... Think about it I'd be doing ya a favor by helping ya take some stress off your sholders while you are working and in school... Then you'll have time to take more orders from the guys here on the network... It's a win-win situation here
