The idea of using two meters is a viable solution if instruments can be borowed or found cheap second hand. Even if the quality/age suggests the calibration could be suspect they could be switched and a mean figure used for calculations. This should be done in any event as a check on accuracy because each meter will have a level of tolerance and these could be complimentary
