That is the 94 L (FWD) svx. That's normal. Cloth seats, no CD player etc.

No Sunroof? Listed as a '96 with a '97 grille.

Explanation is easy .......truth is much more difficult.

This one has the optional, dealer installed "sun hood".
The bulge in the hood is support for the pop-up and sliding panel to quickly ventilate the engine compartment. Did you notice the little red light on the driver's side of the tranny console. When the light goes on, an audible beep sounds alerting the drive to pop-up the "sun-hood" in order to cool down the engine compartment. If the light stays on and the beeping gets faster, the driver then pushes the button agaain and the "sun-hood slides back to ventilate the engine compartment even more.

I did not see the disclaimer sticker which reads. "Not for use in inclement weather."

How's that for an explanation.

john,

i don't know about the hood or the strange panel on the roof, but the lack of a sunroof and the cloth seats are standard on the "L" trim level available in 95 & 96. and i see yet another SVX pretending to be 97.

I guess you learn something new everyday!! I assumed that all SVX'es had the sunroof. The hood still baffles me though.

The truth

That thing on the hood is an air scoop turned in reverse with little SVX stickers on it. The roof thing is just a piece of vinyl. I can understand the hood thing maybe for "looks", but what good does a piece of vinyl on your roof do? Fake T-Top? It's listed as having a cd player, so it must not be stock. Also noticed it is an L, but listed as "fully-loaded" w/AWD.

In that case, it looks like a 95 L. In 95, they offered L with safety package where it will come with AWD and ABS.

Look at the vin, Lwin. It's a 96 L AWD. Don't post stuff unless you know what you're talking about.

My brain is melting today. Too hot and I had 4 hours sleeps in the last 3 nights. Stupid book. So my VIN decoder is not working. I just assumed.

judging by the engine bay, that thing on the hood appears to be a dirt-intake.
