Is this possible?

Say for insatnce there was an SVX that had to have four transmissions put in in one year and three of them were within a month, could this cause the motor mounts to break?
Thanks,
-G

The rear of the engine has a support to the firewall that has to be removed to get the trans out. There is a service part that is used in place of this rear engine support that alows for proper adjustment of the engine tilt to get the trans out. If the service suport or some other method wasn't used, once the transmission is removed the engine will be resting on the engine mounts and fall forward toward the radiator. This is opposite the tilt required to remove and install the trans. Hows the radiator / radiator fans looking?

It is my opinion that it is possible to damage the engine mounts during transmission removal and install if the "adjustable service support" is not used.
