I think you guys may be my new hero's got a power steering rack? lol I'll take the light off your hands as well then. Your cars can live vicariously through mine .

This is why I love this place.

Power steering didn't work in that car . Wasn't a big deal really. Larry actually says he liked the car better without it. Sorry. But u want the headlight too, right?

I wasn't being a 'troll'. I was asking a question. Do you have a bond fetish or someting? I have a tiny collection of bond memorobilia. Just trying to get to know you, that's all. And yes, your car does seem like a POS compared to most peoples cars. But that wasn't to try to tick you off.... it's just that you listed everything that was wrong with it, the fact that it has a cherry bomb muffler, it's all beat up, etc etc. To me, that means POS. That isn't entirely bad though, you have a lot of work to do on it, and I wish you the best. Some day it'll be a great car I'm sure! Don't be so defensive man.

Allright I just placed a pretty big order from Dayle for the Rims, tranny cooler, dash kit, floormat setup, tranny temp guage and pod, brake lines, brake pads. and KandB springs (backorder).

Also ordered wheel bearings (may as well replace them while the work is being done, right), seals, O2 sensors (just in case), and a center console lock mechanism.

Got a set of slotted and drilled rotors.

it's going to seem like an eternity for this stuff to hit my doorstep.

Update.

Just came across a much needed steeering rack, that was the only piece of the Puzzle I wasn't really able to nail down and now thanks to Mike I have, and in the mean time we may have broken a forum sale record. I really love this place.

I am really starting to see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. This week will probably be a little slow as I have to factor in delivery time for the parts, but next week should be a busy time for Subafreak and I.

Another Update

Yesterday I got a Radiator, fans and a headlight from the yard I found. (Sorry ~*Jen but you dissappeared and I'm anxious) . Lastnight the new radiator and fans went in as well as the lights. supprisingly I was able to clean the Paint off the corner lights with no problem using the wire mesh side of a grinder. So now I have all the lights in good shape. I also put on the Parts I got from Toniandbrian (thanks)
Today the Fedex brought me me a steering rack (thanks Mike).

Jason at 1stSubaruparts sent me a shipment today as well.

Sadly Dayle is on backorder with a few of the parts I want but its nothing that will prevent the car from being back on the road just won't look as good when it gets there.

What happened to it in the first place??? I had never seen a picture of your car before till you started the project... I think that it is kinda cool that you are getting to re-build your SVX... I'd love to just start taking things off mine one day and clean them... I did notice one thing... In your locker there is a picture of one of the exhaust tips... It has black build up all around it... Does your engine burn oil??? If it does and you want to get it fixed or donate it to Porter so that he can come up with some parts for the rest of us that would be awesome... Just a thought... Well good luck with the project!!!!

Oh no. The black around the tail pipe is just paint. The car was repainted with little concern for overspray, and the other tail pipe has tape on it. Don't know why but it does, and all the muffler hangers are gone and the mufflers is just sitting on the bumper.

007,
i just checked out the pics in your locker and ....wow! how did someone let an SVX get in that shape! you should track down the P.O.'s and beat them silly for treating an SVX like that. i'm sure it will be great when you are finished, though. good luck restoring it to its proper state - you'll appreciate the car even more!

its funny you say that let me give you a brief rundown of the conversation between Subafreal and I after he did his inspection.

freak> I checked the car out

me>. cool so is the rack bad?

freak> its more than the rack, the radiator leaks and you need tires, thats just the begining.

me> wow! where should we start.

freak> you mean other than beating the guy who sold it too you
.......
