I have a 95 L AWD with a new tranny, a summit racing cooler and some cheap POS tires that were on it when I purchased it. The car only has 55,000 miles on it. Most of my driving is city but when I take a trip to seattle or boise, it's about 300 to seattle and 450 miles to boise.

It feels that it would take a leak in a fuel hose to get the mileage down to 10mpg....

I do not know what your car's problem is, but it is indeed NOT NORMAL.
Normal is 18ish pure city, 27 or better cruisin' at 70-80mph. Average for me is 21-24 mpg combination commute, city & cruise now & then.
I'd get someone with the rudiments of mechanical ability to give your car a good lookin' over.

Ron

Well, find me someone with half a brain to even CHANGE THE OIL on my car and i'll give it a try. Seriously, the incompetence of the mechanics i've been to is ****ing scary.
