window help

I've noticed that my driver's side roll down window is starting to develop some nasty scratches on it. I don't know what may be causing this but suspect some dirt or something is caught on the window roll down assembly. Is there anything that would remove the scratches?

I priced the glass from the dealer and just about had a heart attack. I can't live with my svx not being able to drive with the windows down. Any suggestions on the cause? I'm currently shopping around for some used glass and would like to know which cars came with the bronze tint mine has (polo green LSi).

The scratches are caused by the synthetic "felt" that keeps the window in place. I've tried cleaning them, with only temporary success. I hear there is glass scratch remover you can use. Do a search for those terms

Someone here removed those scratches with Bon Ami.

I've got them too. I see them as "character lines".
