Sti - I also tried that one ! In fact I had an Almera GTi it was better than I expected. Take a spare can of petrol, they are virtually empty, you may not make it to the sainsburys petrol station.

I was thinking of booking a short break on Guernsey for me and 'er indoors can you recomend any decent (but not expensive) hotels, 2* would be OK. I would probably take our Suzuki Vitara on the Condor ferry from Poole.

I would recommend the Vazon Bay Hotel 01481 257120, as they do 'inclusive' packages including the boat at greatly reduced rates. Because of deals like that, it is far cheaper for you to get here than it is for me to visit England. (We are a captive market.)
