Sounds like Pittsburghers & Baltimorons got's a similar dialect.
Mike (or any other Pittsburgh natives), did you ever hear the term "goin' overstreet", meaning to go downtown (dahntahn)? An old girlfriend from your territory used the expression back in the early '60s.
Just curious - Ron

Technical Stuff

Now I have seen Ò technical Ò answers to many Ò technical questions in my time but that lot takes the bundle. Two pages over a little squirt ?

Why has no one come up with a great big hone to clear that blocked tunnel ! Beav may even have a large boring bar and donÕt tell me that I am being boring.

Ron I thought Ò dahntahn or darntarn Ò was Kiwi lingo.

Trevor and his steaming carb. ( Possibly water injector trouble.)

I've only lived here 8 months, so i cant call myself a native by any means. In fact, making fun of the local dialect is something of a hobby of mine. I can say I've never heard the term 'goin' overstreet'
