Back from the shop...

Drove back from Duff's with new CV axles installed and an inspection completed. Powersteering has a slight leak, but was told that it's not an emergency. Front brakes are almost gone though, and that is. I wanted to get a transmission filter changed but had to go to work. I guess I will go to the Subaru Dealership near my house for the Transmission Filter Kit (even though I hear they don't like the SVX, they'll just have to deal with it). Is the trans filter kit (recall package) something I can do myself, if I have the parts? About the extent of my knowledge/experience is changing a tire and changing my own oil.

Thanks for all your help!

Actually, would a better idea be to just replace the stock filter and get one of those B&M coolers? I might get a smaller one because I don't usually drive all that fast and it might be easier to install (I guess they come with instructions...)
