Remote AT filter location? Do I have one?

Where exactly is the screw on transmission filter located? I changed my wife's oil today and looked everywhere for it and I couldn't find it. Do all years have it? Ours is a 94' LSi.

The auxillary trans filter was a "program" item added to 92's (and 93's?) to try and cope with the clogging of the trans cooler lines. Later models had remedied this problem (beginning in 94) and was not needed. It was never a "screw off" type filter --- it was attached to a bracket affixed to the lower driver's side of the radiator -- there may be a pic in the how-to locker. Nonetheless, your car shouldn't need it -- unless you just want to add it for "insurance."

Thanks for the info. I looked everywhere for it. My friend has a 99' Legacy Outback and his has one so I thought it was just a Subaru thing to have one. I remembered reading about one in a post earlier.
Thanks again.

If you do decide to add one, the PermaCool screw on filter kit is the kit of choice. I have pics in my locker of my install of the PermaCool filter.
