If you change oil and replace your oil pump regularly (at least every 150,000 - 200,000 miles), it should easily last to 500,000 miles.

I procrastinated on replacing my oil pump and I needed to replace my engine at 230,000 miles.

A good paintjob will run you into a couple of thousand bucks easy... Doug, am I right?

Yup. Escpecially with an SVX. Lots of peices held in place with rubber gaskets. They need to be removed in order to keep paint from lifting when the rubber expands/contracts.

All the lower body cladding, Mirrors, Door Handles, Sunroof, Quarter trim, and of course, lights.
