Looking for 2 SVX matchbox cars or small models

Does anyone know where I can come up with 2 matchbox cars or smaller models for the SVX. I'm doubting anyone made them but could really use some ASAP if there are some out there.

The only models I'm aware of, were the ones commissioned by John Rowe (from a British Model Maker). They were cast metal and 1:42 scale. Unless someone is willing to sell theirs (sold for 60.00 each, unassembled), I think you may be SOL.

Of course, if you wanted to buy an Eclipse and do some painting and sanding, you may be able to make it work.

SVX models

Yeah that's what I figured. Trying to come up with a rally trophy for Reading. It just wouldn't be right to use a DSM even modified for the Reading Rally Cup .

You're right. Just have someone carve the SVX logo out of wood, or something. That should do the trick.

Model

Time constrants. Time constrants. I originally started to do that but my wife would kill me if she caught me doing it now since we have no toilet or floor in our upstairs bathroom. I think she's getting irritated that its taken me so long to prepare myself for tiling it.

Perhaps not the best idea for the trophy but if you wanted to spend some free time putting a model together. I don't think a $75 unassembled trophy is what your looking for exactly. Just trying to help

Thanks for the e-bay posting. John Rowe does hail from Cary, NC. So this may be the real deal.

That's John Rowe!!! He sold a number of models to members here over a year ago. I had ordered a finished one, but he stopped "production" & offered the unfinished version that you see on e-Bay, for less money. I offered to buy one, but he dropped out of sight & didn't return messages.
He's saying this is the last one, so it could become a collectors item.

Ron.

Yep, that's the model I got. I'm going to put it together . . . one of these days.

I want an SVX model real bad but not for that amount of money. Maybe if it was finished.

that model is kinda, well.....ugly. it looks like a bloated SVX. for $10, maybe, but not for what that thing is going for. its really hard to believe that no one ever made a diecast of the SVX - i've seen some real stupid cars made into scale models.

He was selling them for 100.00, finished. If you had one, you'd know why. It ain't no easy task.

Also, it cost 13,000.00 (out of his pocket) to have the company produce 200. He's, at least, got to get his money back.

Also, the pic doesn't do it justice.
