Subaru xt 1.8L Turbo?

Hello.

My dad is looking on a Subaru xt 1987 whit auto transmission. For a car to have in the winter. I am also hoping to take over the car when his done whit it.
I have had one of these car before and really miss that car.

How are these tranny on these cars? And is the just too look for rust like all the other old subaru cars. Link to the Norwegian web page. Or are the something else to look for?
http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/obj...nkode=42930852

Is a old man that have had the car 88age. Its says is no rust under the car.
And the headlight dosent work (just manual) The engine has been overhaul for 10years/50 000Km ago.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Subaru xt 1.8L Turbo?

Is it the 3 speed auto, or the 4EAT 87 was a transition year, might of had either one...?

If it is Push Button for the 4WD, it will be the 3 speed...
Pretty durable unit, but worse fuel mileage....

CHECK THE FUSABLE LINKS BY THE BATTERY, AS ONE OF THEM CAN CAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS TO NOT GO UP AND DOWN (sorry cap lock was on)...

Re: Subaru xt 1.8L Turbo?

Thanks.
I will drive 7H tomorrow and take a look on the car. The owner says it little rust on the rearfender and little on the sunroof that you can see in the pictures.
So if all go well i will have a Xt on the trailer home.

I will also check the fusable link. I have some spare form the svx/legacy.
And then i alse have to register a profil on the xt forums also.
