Also, are there any plans for a charge for the autocross? There usually is. And have trophies a possibility? Will the folks setting it up charge anything?
Just some thoughts.
Harry
From my guess Harry it is being put on my blue mountain scca. A TVR friend of mine is I think in charge of their solo events so I sent Dave his way about the possibility. Of course everyone will be expected to work but they should handle the techincal stuff and course set up. Cost is 30 members 40 non. I do think times etc are important for those traveling a distance and a willingness of those more local to take later working shifts.

For those on the fence this is the perfect opportunity for a spirited drive in your car. Plenty of experienced helpers to walk the course give pointers etc for the same car.

Re: New activity for Reading this year.

Harry, the event will be run by the Blue Mint Region of SCCA. They held 2 events at the mall last year and have one scheduled for 3/10. We'll be following their schedule. In addition to their classes/winners, I plan on having some SVX classes, now I need to find some sponsors.

Their normal fee is $30, plus if your not a SCCA member you need to get a weekend membership for $10.

Re: New activity for Reading this year.

Since Ben probably won't be healed enough to drive (?), will he be in charge of guardrail and brick wall placement?

40 total 30 fee plus the weekend membership of 10. Its a money hungry thing the national scca did about 5 years back to pay for their lawyers.

Ben/Dave, do people need to wear/bring their own helmet?
Is there a restriction on the age of the helmet.
I believe that Ron Mummert wants to use the same leather one He used while flying his bi-plane in the First World War!

Ron is grandfathered or shall I say great-great-great-great-grandfathered. The region does not have loaner helmets so if they will need to borrow a bucket. I'll have a Large and Medium helmet there which meets current standard of Snell M05 or Snell M10. and others will provide some for sharing as well. We just need to find someone with an in at a bowling alley so we can get some of that good spray.
