Is there likely to be $500 worth of value to be had out of these that we couldn't otherwise figure out for ourselves?

Or has the seller priced them as a collectable rather than just a workshop manual?

Re: FSM +93 update on ebay $500

As someone who does almost all of the maintenance and repairs on my SVXs myself, I have found the factory service manuals to be very, very useful.

I have needed to refer to them many times - especialy when I was replacing the timing belt and water pump. The wiring diagrams are also a very handy reference if you need to troubleshoot the electrical system.

Note that although most of the information in the USDM service manuals applies to the Australian delivered SVX - the section on the transmission does not. The USDM SVX uses a different AWD system to the AUDM, and you therefore need the AUDM service manual to work on it.

Jason.

I got a full set a while ago, though the price has increased.

I could not own a SVX without them, absolutely a must have.
